I've never been much of a primer person but i've noticed that this is super weird considering the helpfulness of a good primer on troubled skin. So, with this in mind i'm going to change this immediately and go on a little primer adventure
I thought i'd start off drugstore since I have a tiny budget and spotted the new Maybelline Baby Skin Primer and Instant Fatigue Blur on a 3 for 2, Gotta love boots promos!
The Instant Fatigue Blur doesn't seem to have done much to the look of my skin and I haven't continued using it over all of my face, instead i've been using it around my eyes for a pick-me-up and then had the primer on the rest of my face.
I've used these primers with a couple of different foundations including Mac Studio Fix and Rimmel Wake Me Up and it makes quite a good base. Its not overly thick so it doesn't completely cover pores which I would've liked from a primer. I've definitely noticed that it makes my makeup last longer through the day while keeping it looking fresh! Sadly though, I think this product has made me break out quite a bit and I think i'm going to stop using it. Obviously everyones skin is different so this may not happen to you but i've heard this happening to others so be careful and don't try it out before a night out! It hasn't affected my skin in any other way though like making it dry/greasy.
Overall I think there are other primers that will do a similar job ~maybe even better~ that are much cheaper, such as the MUA Primer Clear, but it might be worth a go while its on a 3 for 2.
Tell me your thoughts on the Baby Skin range!
